We established Ace Laboratories in 2013 to provide quality control testing, method validation, and method verification services for the chemical and microbiological analysis of pharmaceutical products. In 2024, we were acquired by Aurobindo Pharma. We continue to operate under our own name and quality management system as an MHRA-approved testing facility, now with access to the resources, capabilities, and network of a large global pharmaceutical group

Our Facility

Our laboratory in Edgware is a purpose-built facility of approximately 3,000 square feet. It comprises separate chemical and microbiology laboratories, a dedicated sample and record room, instrument rooms, and conference facilities. The chemical laboratory is fitted with fire-rated, glass-panelled steel partitions, and the microbiology laboratory uses clean-room partitioning designed for contamination control.

The microbiology suite has segregated areas for media preparatio, sample handling, incubation, and a contained area for sterility testing. Samples are held in temperature- and humidity-monitored storage, including conditions for stability and cold-chain storage where required.

Our HPLC systems run on Agilent OpenLAB CDS, and analytical data is managed through a validated LIMS, providing the audit trails, access controls, and traceable record flow needed to support data integrity from sample receipt through to reporting. Sample logistics, inventory, and invoicing are handled through an integrated Oracle system.

Our facility has been inspected by the MHRA and operates in compliance with UK GMP for the chemical and microbiological testing of human and veterinary medicinal products.

Part of the Aurobindo Group

In 2024, Ace Laboratories became part of the Aurobindo Pharma Group. The change strengthened our capabilities and extended our reach, while we continue to operate under our own name, quality systems, and the close personal service our clients rely on. We provide chemical and microbiological testing from our Edgware facility, now supported by the resources of a large global pharmaceutical company.
